Very Prosperous Day!

We had a great time at the races and I got to give Caiden is memory match quilt.TodayI fussy cut 6 inch blocks of dogs on the beach fabric with strips of paw print fabric for the borders and binding for my daughters project. We put fabric over the curtain rods in my sewing room to deceide what way I want to make them. Then we made our weekly trip to Joann's for more fabric on our way to my Mom's surprise birthday party. All of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were there. When we got back home we worked on sewing binding together and pressing it off.

Friday night get together.......

Here is the picture of the table topper I made last Friday for Friday Night Sew In. My friends camera got hungry and ate the first set of pictures that were taken.  Tonight I worked on ironing a basket of scraps in which were being made in to scrappy quilted bags to use going to the grocery, carrying stuff back and forth to work, or  a purse what ever your hearts desire.  I sewed some on My Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt. My goal is to make one complete flower a week.  Oh boy, I have a lot of sewing to do tomorrow.

No sewing again tonight....

Thursday night's  are Mom & Sister night.  Tonight I meet them at Larosa's for Pizza.  My Nephew Michael & his soon to be wife Kelly were there too. They stop by tonight after shopping for a wedding ring for him.

Tomorrow is sewing with Judy. I will be alternating between my Grandmother's Flower Garden and ironing for Judy. She's making tote bags tomorrow night. I love to iron and I get to take samples of her stash.  I love to go to Judy's she has the coolest toys.

UFO--Grandmother's Flower Garden

One of my unfinished works in progress is My Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt.
My friend Judy gave me a few "flowers" as a always carry a in your purse project something to always carry with me to pull out whenever I have a few minutes to work on it.  It was a great ideal.  I work on it at doctor's appointments, idle time at work, waiting at a resturant, waiting before and in between the races.  Whenever I can get a few spare minutes.  My goal is to make one complete flower a week so for I have four done and four half done.

Friday Night Sew In

Judy and I got together on Friday night and joined in The Friday Night Sew In.
Dinner and a night of sewing.  We made table runners.  Mine was a scrappy one to put into my sewing room.
I finished mine before I went home.  Judy made table runner to match her dinning room. Which turned out beautiful.  Go to Friday Night Sew In  and see what everyone else has accomplished.

Memory T-shirt Quilt

My Daughter and I have start a memory t-shirt quilt using shirts she has kept for the past 10 years. They were special shirts she has saved that her son has worn.

Teaching my Grandson to sew

My Grandson wanted to make a racing themed quilt. I took him to Walmart and he picked out all the fabric he wanted to use.

To many projects going at once.

Bryleigh and Scotty
After my daughter saw the match quilt I made for my grandson she just had to make one. She has a special little girl, Bryleigh, that she babysits and made her one for her birthday that her son Scotty and I helped her with.

July 30th

Blake's surgery went well. The nurse kept telling him he got to ride out of the hospital in a go-cart wheelchair. When Blake saw the wheelchair he told the nurse, "That not a go-cart."
